Dreaming Power is our Future! The Biggest Dreamer

Such Sweet Sorrow

Sahgo's notes: ...I didn't like this title. Holy cow (XD), final episode!! It's even hard to believe I was able to compare everything until here. It seems it was yesterday I sent the comparison of Adventure 14 to this site... Well, it has been a long way. We had important dialogue changes, useless flashes, and cuts, name changes, translated kana, crappy music, crappy voice actors, some good voice actors, Seth Walther's horrible scripts, Adele Lim's not-so-horrible scripts, Steve Blum's battle dialogue, and some other's scripts. Wow, long long way.... and now, the series ends <: ) Adele Lim... well, what can I say? In this episode, there's some added dialogue, but not as much as she is used to add. The great crap was the final scene ¬¬ I mean, they already killed the emotion of the scene with crappy music, they could at least have retained the dialogue. Well, whatever. Here's a link for the original final scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jF0ynTgK3g Enjoy ^_^

Side Note
In the original, Ruki sings to send her energy to Justimon. In the dub, it's some kind of... pray? 4 seconds of Takato inside Gallantmon added.

Stupid Dialogue:
Terriermon: "Boy! When they come through they really come through!"

Censor:
Well, a shot of the punch of that D-Reaper's agent in Dukemon was covered by a long flash. Ow! And another one. Ouch! And a kick. But that one is even visible in the dub. Dukemon's punch in her was censored with a flash too. A very long flash (probably the longest I've ever seen o_o). Ouchie!

Side Note
In the end of the episode, in the original, it played a song called ''Primary Collors''. I don't like the vocals being done by a bunch of children voices, but the music itself is really beautiful. It's a shame in the dub we have only the crappy BGMs. Well, better than "Hey, Digimon!".

Stupid Dialogue:
Terriermon: "Who needs ammo when you're a whooping machine?" CONGRATULATIONS TERRIERMON!!! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO SAID THE LAST STUPID DIALOGUE OF THE SERIES!!!

Side Note
I really have to say: Steve Blum making an extremely high-pitched voice for Gigimon (before Guilmon) is so bad it scares. It's worse than bad, IT'S HORRIBLE! Well, most of the added talk of this episode didn't piss me off, because most of them were appropriated. But this one is unforgivable: in the original, after all digimon are gone, Janyu just says "Jenrya...". Then, Jenrya turns to him smiling, and shakes his head negatively. Then Janyu starts crying. Since it's silence, we can't say exactly what were both thinking, but it's way better this way. It was such a beautiful scene in the original. Well, in the dub, Janyu says "Henry, I know it hurts now son, but in time it'll get better" (what an unsensitive commentary!). Henry shakes his head and Janyu cries saying "I'm sorry... I'm sorry...".
Well, I'm sorry Adele Lim, but I don't think you translated the silence of this scene (XD) correctly. In my opinion, it's most like Janyu wanted to say "I'm sorry", and Jenrya's reaction was to say "Don't feel sorry".
Oh, and Takato's final narration was increndibly enlenghtned. In the original, he just said "After some time, life came back to be how it was before I met Guilmon". Then, a bunch of scenes of Takato's daily life. When the Digital Gnome appear, Takato repeats "The life, before I met Guilmon...". And that's it. In the dub, this sentence is still there, but it has a bunch more of narration, talking about Kazu, his teacher, and some informations more. Well, it's Adele Lim's episode. She just can't be helped.

Total episode retained: 100% - despite the added footage, once more.
