Final Fight! Dukemon vs. Belzebumon

The Battle Within

Sahgo's notes: The Battle Within? English Version Written by Steve Blum. Well, since this is a pure fighting episode, most of the line adding aren't worth mentioning (they're just things like "take this!", "you won't run away!", "now you're finished!", etc), but there seems to have a lot of them here. Most of the other lines are well adapted. This is the kind of episode that even Seth Walther wouldn't be able to screw it up (well, except if he creates a very stupid conversation between the fight, but that would be really unnapropriated).

Side Note:
Well, I forgot to mention this in the previous episode. While becoming Dukemon, in the original, Guilmon just said "Guilmon shinka" (normal), while, in the dub, he says "Guilmon bio-merges to". So, they created an unexistant term.

Stupid Dialogue:
Guardromon: "Remarkable!" Guardromon's official dumb catchy phrase.

Side Note:
The laser sound effect that the dub uses for Beelzemon's shots are EXTREMELY dumb. In the original, they're BULLETS sound effects. Geez!

Stupid Dialogue:
Since this is a very fighting episode, it doesn't make much difference, but there is some added lines here and there (the eternal "I got you!", "where is he!?", etc. lines). Juri's "oh, I'm so sad" scenes were quiet in the original, but they received a lot of added lines here (saying how sad is she. That makes no sense: when we're sad we don't keep talking).

Side Note:
Dukemon's attack changes: Royal Saber ------------------> Lightning Joust
Final Elysium -----------------> Shield of the Just

Censor:
Caturamon's hammer attack on Terriermon was censored with a flash. 1/2 second was lost. Beelzemon kick on Guardromon was also censored with a flash. 1/2 second was lost here too.

Cut:
(2 seconds) Dukemon being hit with Belzebumon's shots. Ow! (1 second) And stylized-scene of Dukemon before the japanese eyecatch. Cool =]

Censor:
Once more, Belzebumon's kick on Dukemon was censored by a flash, and AGAIN, 1/2 second lost. A scene of Belzebumon aiming at Dukemon's head was covered with a scene of Beelzemon's gun, front view. o_o Again? In the original, after pushing Dukemon with his foot, Belzebumon aims at his head again. In the dub, the scene seems to move, but Beelzemon's arm continues aiming up. Yeah, I'm not aiming at your head! In the next scene, the gun is digitally painted over. (I never knew Saban knew how to do this o.o).

Censor:
O_o What the hell? Well, that's something hard to explain... that's when Guardromon attacks Belzebumon. In the original, you see his Destruction Grenade hitting Belzebumon, and he is aiming to Dukemon's head. In the dub, they took the second scene of him being attacked by them (one scene later), and replaced it. ............

Side Note:
In the original, Belzebumon's unnecessarily long flashback didn't have the original lines of the episodes, just Belzebumon's narration. When Belzebumon disapears... they added an increndibly WEIRD sound effect ._. I can't even describe it... it's... so.... bizarre...
