The Mystery of Guilmon's Birth! The Mystic Water Space

Shibumi Speaks

Sahgo's notes: Not a bad title. Well, another episode written by Seth Walther. Why can't that guy make a favor to all of us and DIE?! Well, whatever. This episode is not as bad as the previous (maybe because most of the "obligatory-stupid-characters" are absent), and some lines were really well translated. But there were confuse changes in Shibumi's speak. Well, nothing extreme.

Stupid Dialogue:
Silence.
Takato (thinking): "Just a little further! Just a little further! Why does "Just a little farther" have to be so far away?!"
The first imaginary lines of the episode. There's a storm coming. Henry: "Gee, I don't know, but maybe we can build a submarine out of your negative energy!" It would explode and sink. Not necessarely on this sequence.

Censor:
Yamaki's mail is translated, and the translation is pretty accurate. The email from previous episode is translated again. The new mail is translated... the translation is perfect (It's an emergency, SOS).

Stupid Dialogue:
Takato: "Holy Cow!" Still looking for someone who uses that term.

Side Note:
In the original version, Takato ansewered about the SOS stuff saying "I asked for help, but that doesn't mean we're in danger. We're all okay". In the dub, he says: "How about say we almost drowned and we're trapped in a cave with no way out and... it's better than school?".

Stupid Dialogue:
Takato (writing): "Hey, this is Rika. The ---------- gave this stupid ------, so I can write!" .......No comments.

Side Note:
The email Lee writes to his father is in Chinese, and it wasn't translated in the dub, even the mail font collor being different in both versions (in the original, the emails letters are all red, and when they're translated, black). In the original, when Takato's father asks Janyu about Jenrya's email, Janyu says it's nothing important (since the email is in chinese, he was the only one who could understand. That was made by purpose). In the dub, Janyu says he doesn't know, his son is writing a NOVEL (?). Since in the dub, chinese is just "funny symbols" (or digi-code [from Adventure episode 12]).

Stupid Dialogue:
Terriermon: "Henry, does that mean the next time you're yelling at me I can pretend you're not?"
Henry: "You can, but I'll yell louder!".
Try punching him. And yourself. There's more and more stupid talking in the under-swimming scene, but I couldn't hear very well.

Side Note:
As in the first season, the Hangyomon is called Divermon.

Cut:
(1 second) Lee kicking Hangyomon. Ouch!

Censor:
Lee's final attack to Hangyomon gained a flash :)

Stupid Dialogue:
Divermon's legend talk is stupid. In the original, he just said the tunnel could take them to the no-water place they say. All of the Henry and Takato's talk on the way to Shibumi's place is very dumb. Henry: "That's weird, it seems like a library!"
Takato: "Aww, great: we're in a whole different world and I'm still not away from homework."
Takato: "Is that a giant digivice or is it just me?"
Terriermon: "Well, it sure does look like you."
Takato: "Ha ha."
In the original, Shibumi says once in a while that Lee, Takato and Terriermon are allucinations.

Side Note:
Janyu's group was originally called "Wild Bunch", changed to "Monster Makers" in the dub. In the original, Takato said his complete name (Takato Matsuda), and Shibumi says he doesn't remember any Matsuda as his friend... maybe in high school, or something. In the dub, Takato just says his first name and asks how to get out of there, and Shibumi says it's not very easy. In the original, while talking about Digital Gnomes, Shibumi said they can't communicate by words, what is a shame because if they could, Shibumi could be able to know more about the Digital World. That's not mentioned in the dub, but there's nothing really stupid said.

Stupid Dialogue:
Terriermon: "Does that mean I was created specially for Henry?"
Shibumi: "Perhaps."
Henry: "Yeah, created specially to annoy me."
Terriermon: "Hey!"
Henry: "Well, am I wrong?"
Terriermon: "Admit it Henry, you would be lost without me!"
Henry: "It looks like I'm lost with you too!".
Ha.... ha.... ha.....

Side Note:
In the original, just like Ryo did, Shibumi said Takato and Lee should go down, and not up. Because up is the domain of the Digimon Gods. In the dub, Shibumi says they have to go up because the Digimon Soreveigns' level is the last one up.
