The beggining of the episode was completely changed. Ok, the idea:
"Takato's mom is telling him to do his homework". Now, the way it was
delivered: in the original, Takato just says he will do it later. His mom
says he should spend more time home doing his homework. She says that in a
non-ordering way. Then, Takato goes out and says there's something he
can't let for later.
In the dub, Takato's mom says more or less the
same thing, but in the "annoying mom talking to the lazy son" style (I
won't describe). When Takato goes out, he's just bugged because of this
imaginary fight.
Oh, added talk, whenever is possible. And I mean it! As I told in my
notes, the character just DIDN'T STOP TALKING in this episode!
Okay, the scene with the TV and the earthquake was stupid. The TV guy
says the earthquakes were caused due to strange readings, then, Henry
AUTOMATICALY figures out it's a digimon's fault. Gimme a break! In the
original, the TV guy says the earthquake affected just Shinjuku area, and
that's why it seemed weird for Lee.
Rika: "I thought guys liked posters of girls in bikinis!"
And you're saying that in a children-directed anime series?
Rika (taking the phone): "I don't like dresses!"
I always thought we started phone conversations by saying
"hello".
Rika: "Sorry, but I'm going to the park."
Rika's mom: "But....
honey, you can't do any shopping there!"
(And anything else Rika's mom
says in this scene).
We're in 21th Century. I'm sure there are clothes stores in the
middle of a Shinjuku park.
But honestly, who is that woman? An adult
version of Mimi?"
Kazu: "Looks like I won again! I rule"
Yeah, you won the imaginary chess, since in the REAL life, you're not
playing anything.
Takato: "I guess the digimon can just tell I'm superior"
MAN, I have ESP! No, it's, when I was re-watching the japanese
episode before watching the dub, when I HEARD Kenta's question.... I knew
the dub Takato would give a VERY modest and no-egocentric answer.
Jeri (in the flashback): "Goodbye, Leomon!"
You know, there's a simple reason why is this INCRENDIBLY DUMB. In
the previous episode, JERI DIDN'T SAY THAT IN THE DUB! That doesn't make
any sense: she says nothing in the original, but says more stuff in
flashbacks?
Takato: "You're droodling, guys!"
No, they aren't.
Rika: "If he doesn't, you'll find a better digimon"
Jeri
(smiling): "Yeah".
Look the "smiling". Man, that's simply stupid. I mean, Kato loves
Leomon - not on "that" way -, she wouldn't smile if Ruki tells her Leomon
could be replaced. Not only that, Ruki in the original doesn't say
that.
Takato: "What!? No bikini girls!?"
...Wasn't this series supposed to aimed to small children?
Henry: "Doesn't this remind you guys of anything?"
Terriermon:
"Uuuh, a ----- zoo?"
With dragons?
Kenta: "I was counting"
Kazu: "You have to use your finger to
read too?"
Kenta: "No! Well, yes, but that's not what I meant!"

Takato: "It's that kid again! He defines weird!"
No, this horrendous script does.
Jeri: "Why is he staring at me?"
Kenta (singing): "Jeri's got a
boyfrieeeend".
You simply chose the WORST hour to say the WORST thing!
Calumon: "That hurts more than Kenta singing!" (about Makuramon's
scream)
No, NOTHING hurts more than Kenta singing. Except your lines.
In the original, it was the ''superior'' who called Yamaki, not the
opposite.
Henry: "Wait up!"
Renamon: "If we wait for you, we'll be too old
to fight it"
Just to show that there's a percentage of stupid stuff the characters
say. I mean, Henry talks all over the episode, so, just some of their
lines are stupid. Renamon says just a few lines over the episode, so, they
have to be the most stupid as possible. I think that's how it works.
Terriermon: "It's gonna be big!"
Henry: "How can you
tell?"
Renamon: "We're looking up, ------"
What do you have against this boy?
Kazu: "Is that a mountain?"
Kenta: "With teeth?"
Takato: "No,
that is ONE SERIOUSLY BIG PIG!"
If Takato says it's a big pig, then, it's a mountain with
teeth.
Impmon's emo attack is utterly stupid.
My god, there's an imaginary conversation in that scene where
Vikaralamon is destroying the city. I couldn't understand well, but, I'M
COMPLETELY COMPLETELY SURE IT WAS INCRENDIBLY STUPID!
Takato: "That thing is worse than an earthquake! Is an earthquake
with attitude!"
And still, it's not worse than these lines.
Henry: "The whole city will be rumbled if we don't stop it!"
Rika:
"What are you, the Obvious Brothers?"
Obviously Stupid Brothers, you mean.
MY GOD, THE HELICOPTERS' PILOTS SAY SUCH DUMB STUFF... I CAN'T
MENTION!!!!
Gargomon: "It's no use, nothing is working! Not even insults!"
Were those "insults"?
Takato: "I bet she's worried about me... or yelling about
me..."
This was supposed to be an emotive
