Impmon's Last Stand


Sahgo's notes: Well, not the worst dub title. The writer is Seth Walther. This time, he didn't screwed up the episode as before. Because the most important lines were maintained intact, and, even with the stupid part, the general talk in the episode retained it's original message. But, this episode had a good amount of cuts and censors. I wonder if is there a balance between censors and stupid dialogue. Who knows.
I'm missing Steve Blum decent episodes.

Stupid Dialogue:
Kenta: "Thanks he got me without soaking my underwear" Yeah, that would be horrible. The teenager's ''totally talk'' is Stupid. But even so, it's acceptable, since the original objective of the scene was showing annoying teenagers. Lee's sensei talks way less than Henry's sensei. As always, the relation between the word "Deva" with the word "God" was avoided, using words such as "spirits" and so. Henry's sensei: "It's like eating an entire galon of ice cream".
(And all following lines). This conversation was SO OK until this line. Henry's sensei (to finish the mentioned conversation): "Want some ice cream?" A martial arts instructor offering ice cream for a student? That's wrong. Calumon: "But I wanna see if you're going to scary more little girls!" I wanna see Impmon killing you. It won't happen. In the original, Yamaki reads a small part of the binary message. "We are Deva". That's all. In the dub, the line is similar, except here, Yamaki says "Binary message? From devas?". Kazu: "He seems weird enough to be one of your friends!"
Takato: "And you're one of my friends!" He must hate himself for that. Kazu: "What's he doing? Training to be a rock?" Well, you trained so hard now you're a retarded, didn't you? I bet he will do it. Jeri: "Stop chasing off squirels".
Guilmon: "Aww, they like it!" No. They definetly don't. Calumon: "I never thought of that!"
Takato: "*looks up* Of course" Calumon: "I get it! You don't want me around!" You're too stupid to be the american version of the cute Culumon. Random policeman A: "Should we tell him we're not the animal service?"
Random policeman B: "I don't know how you made to the police academy!" Just God knows. Renamon: "Or what? You'll use that little flame of yours to boil water and make me some bad tea?" If that makes you shut up...

Censor:
Impmon's punch was covered by a flash.

Stupid Dialogue:
(Rika's digivice goes off)
Rika: There's never a dull day here.
Terriermon: Henry, a digimon!
Henry: Aw man, there's never a dull day here.
Takato: (hears his digivice go off) Woah, a digimon! (thinking to himself) Why is there never a dull day here? Of course there is. But the anime just shows the interesting part of the show. Don't change the original script, Saban! Impmon: "That's between me and the purple-poney" No, that's between the purple-poney and the.... purple shrimp.

Side Note:
Impmon's attack change.
 Summon Flame ----> Infernal Funnel To say the truth, the 'Badda-Boom' attack name is never said in the original (well, at least I don't remember), but my references told me this: Night of Fire ------> Badda-Boom And my references never miss!

Stupid Dialogue:
Indramon: "Woooo, that tickles!" Am I the only one who's seeing that your line doesn't match with your face? Impmon: "Is that the best you got? A little old lady with a hand full of marshmallows can hit harder!" .....Marshmallows are mortal stuff.

Censor:
After the "I will not allow you to insult my master", Impmon is hitted again. For some reason, the scene was inverted ._.

Cut:
(1 second) One of Impmon's shot being attacked by Indramon. OUUUCH!! (2 seconds) Another one. OUUUCH!! (2) (8 seconds) After the "I will defeat you and become stronger", Indramon hits Impmon again. After that, Indramon hits him again again and again, while Impmon says he'll defeat Indramon and absorb him and blah blah blah. OUUUCH!! (3, 4, 5, 6...)

Censor:
The last Indramon's attack to Impmon was covered with some kind of impact scene previously showed. Ouch.
