Giant Heavy Appearance! Great Edo Line, Great Panic

Snakes, Trains and Digimon

Sahgo's notes: Yay, another horrible dub title. The English Version was written by Alam Smith, who didn't make a too bad work. Most of the original lines are there, the only difference is too much added dialogue x_x Well, it could be worse...

Censor:
Well, in Takato's flag, the kana for "Dejimon Teimazu" was romanized to "Digimon Tamers". Big deal. Simple translation.

Stupid Dialogue:
Added.... dialogue... Rika: "Congratulations Takato: this might be the weirdest thing I've ever seen" Takato: "Ah, Guilmon, you broke it!"
Rika: "I owe you one, Guilmon"
We all do. Policeman: "Man, I don't believe you ate one of the sandwiches from the vending machine!" You know, in the japanese version, they don't say, but it's pretty clear to EVERYBODY that guy is drunk. But you know, they just have to let this innofensive. In most of the scene with Guilmon meeting the children, there was no talk originally. And PLEASE, DUB, STOP TALKING ABOUT PEANUT BUTTER!!!

Cut:
(4 seconds) The theatre sign. OH, KANJI... WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SO EVIL!?

Stupid Dialogue:
In the theatre. In the original, the play in the stage was one of those tradicional japanese performances (sorry, don't know how to say). There was no talk on it, just music. In the dub, added lines. Stupid added lines. And, well, there's no Rika's lines in that Renamon's flashback. There's just a background music. Kazu (about Impmon): "How can you ignore someone dressed like that?" He's naked (oh!). In the original, Impmon says Guilmon is pathetic and stuff, and he just has to wait until the children start treating him like a baby. Then, Terriermon sneezes. He says someone might be talking about him. Is that, in Japan, there's a belief that, when you sneezes all of a sudden, it means someone is talking bad things about you (in that case, Impmon).
In the dub the sneeze doesn't have any senseful reason.

Cut:
(4 seconds) That's weird. In the dub, Kenta says that Guilmon's newest attack is the "snot blaster". Ok, we see Guilmon shooting paper from his nose, but we don't see when Kenta puts the paper in his nose. And, does that make any difference? Kids, do never put paper in your noses.

Stupid Dialogue:
Rika's Grandma: "Hey, who's smoking?!" The weird part of the scene is: they can talk about smoking, they just can't show people doing it (see previous comparisons). Yeah... and, Rika's Grandma, a single person smoking wouldn't make all this fog. Just 'cause you're old, it doesn't mean you have to be stupid too. Rika: (among other stupid expressions) "Walk all over him!" And I thought we were free of that... Rika: "Call the goggle-head..." The japanese Ruki already calls Takato by his name, thanks. Henry (on the phone): "No thanks, I gotta go.... Merry Christmas!" It's already Easter, you stupid moron. Oh, and Lee and Terriermon running.... in the dub, Henry says anything about Rika, and Terriermon doesn't understand, and Henry explains that is sarcasm. And explains what is sarcasm. In the original, Lee says his head is too heavy, asks Terriermon to run. They Terriermon goes down to his shoulders, and asks if his head is lighter now. He he. Nothing for nothing, but is interesting the fact that today Takato says his friends can't go because they can get KILLED, and, in last episode, all ''kills'' were replaced with ''destroys'' in the dub. In the original, Sandiramon says the Devas work to their 'god', what isn't mentioned in the dub. Henry: "We're lucky we don't ---------- pizza!" But we are not. Rika: "And you already know goggle-head and dino-boy" That hurts..... Kazu: "The last one hangs out with Impmon!" Yeah, that would be simply terrifying.
