The Meaning of Partner! Renamon Evolves

O Partner, Where Art Thou?


Sahgo's notes: What a dumb title! This episode was fairly well. I mean, it's a quiet episode, so I expected for added talk/thinkings. But fortunately, there weren't a lot of STUPIIID talk/thinkings. Even so, in some os Ruki's dialogue the dub tries to focuses on the "proud" side of her, making Rika says "I'm the best, **** the rest", while, in the original, she was just wishing Renamon to evolve. But the episode plot is still there, so......... it's fairly better than its previous. If we continue this way we'll have a really decent episode in..... 20 episodes from now ^^ And by the way, what's with the "battle puns"?

Stupid Dialogue:
There's a bunch of 'imaginary thinkings' added to Rika's head, but nothing utterly stupid to be mentioned here (what a relief!). Rika: "Party time!"
Renamon: "And we're entertainment." No, you're 'annoyance'.
 Rika: "Walk all over!" Yes, that's oficially Rika's (annoying) catchy phrase.

Censor:
This scene of Renamon kicking Allomon was replaced by a pink impact scene. Fox kicks are still strong!

Stupid Dialogue:
Rika: "Skilly bum!" .....??????? Renamon: "You look a little overheated. How about a NICE COLD BREEZE!" Am I the only one who don't like this "battle puns"? Originally, Allomon doesn't speak. Rika: "You're (to Takato and Henry) starting to sound like a broken record!" Saban's fault. Renamon: "I think you need a COLD SHOWER!" Seriously, why do you have to say stupid things in middle of the battle? Allomon: "How is this possible? I always HATED the ICE AGE!" Yeah, that movie sucks (lielielie ^^). Renamon: "Now don't move! Good boy." Please, stop Renamon.... stop! Takato: "Wait a minute! Can't we just talk?"
Rika: "Sure! I've got something to say. Don't EVER try that again, little boys."
Henry: "Does that qualify as a 'conversation'? ......... I guess it does."
 Fine, whatever. Impmon: "Oh, that's cute. A digi-baby crying at the moonlight!" C'mon, more "digi-stuff"? The "digi-modify" was horrible enough, thanks. Rika: "A new player for the game! Well, I'm in!" ARGH! Impmon: "Who would wanna be like me? Hentsman (?) free like a bird in the tree!" Well, Impmon is annoying in the japanese version, but in the dub he's simply.....!!!!!! To say the truth, EVERYTHING Impmon and his stupid accent say ARE stupid dialogue. Yamaki: "They just never learn, do they?" Dejá vù? Dokugumon: "Perfect! I was just thinking about what to do for dinner!"
Renamon: "Eat dirt"
Dokugumon: "Oh! Spicy too!" You know, I really pity Renamon. Since she usually talks with her mouth "unseen", she's the perfet target for added dialogue. Rika: "With her Poison Thread, this spider is as deadly as she is ugly! ......can't comment..... Originally, Dokugumon doesn't talk too. Do any of the Wild Ones talk? Calumon: "...game over?" You say just a few lines in this episode, and you say STUPID STUFF!? Please, give me a break! Stop making this "Digi-fobic" and "gaming" commentaries! Seriously! You're being too uncute to be who you are! Calumon: "...game time!" Read the commentaries above.
