Dream a Little Dream


Sahgo's notes: The episode was way better than its previous. Maybe because there weren't much to worry about the original episode, that wasn't very important. At least my very favorite scene of the episode (Takato saying that Digimon are living beings and that Ruki can't just KILL them) remained almost untouched. And Calumon is an annoying little creature. Culumon is a cute little creature.

Stupid Dialogue:
I don't have to say this, do I? ADDED TALK WHENEVER POSSIBLE! Takato: "Why setted us off to the soccer field?"
Kazu: "Gee, I don't know! A soccer game, maybe?"
Takato: "At 7:30 at the morning?"
Kazu: "It could happen!" Yeah..... All random students say random stupid things in the first scene. The oscar goes to: Random boy: "(...)I said chocolate is dangerous! Who's laughing now?" You can bet I'm not. Random boy: "Everybody knows meatloaf is like a ghost favorite thing" Yeah. Everybody. Random boy: "Besides, what else could eat the cafeteria food and not die?" Wow, Takato is eating. Is he going to die? ...............................yay /o/ Takato: "Them, they started saying it was caused by Demons conjured by last week spitballs." .........Are the students of this school THAT idiot? Takato: "What's wrong? Don't tell me you ATE the spitball!" .........Is Juri equally idiot? In Kato's (Juri) flashback, there's no narration originally. And notice: the original Culumon DO NOT mention digimon stuff. He's not some digimon-phobic like the dub, he just says cute things, like a little child.
In the original version, he says 'Culu' all the time, you know. In the dub he says EVERYTHING but simple things. He's simply annoying!

Side Note
Well.... Culumon became Calumon.

Stupid Dialogue:
Calumon: "The red digimon is great, but those other guys need a better nose!" And you need to shut up.

Censor + Cut:
(10 seconds) After Guilmon and Culumon "fight" in that 'dream', the scenes are weirdly replaced. In the dub, they replace the scene for a shot of the "One-Eyed Kazu" screaming, while, in original, we see Culumon falling and defeated on the ground. Even replacing the scene, the dub covered just 2 seconds of the scene, losing 10 seconds of footage. Man, it would be cool see this in the dub.... for obious reasons.

Stupid Dialogue:
Takato (about Suzy): "By 'nice' you mean 'crazy'?" Yup! Terriermon: "Let's wait! Maybe he'll (Guilmon) eat Calumon and solve our problem!" We can only pray.

Censor
The hexagram Guilmon and Calumon draw was digitally edited. That somehow changes the original sense of the scene (that the hexagram would've summoned the Evilmon). Six-Pointed Star.

Cut:
(4 seconds) The digital field. Maybe they were too lazy to digitally erase the hexagram points (that are barely visible). Six-Pointed Star in middle of the fog.

Stupid Dialogue:
Guilmon: Is that the ink that makes you walk like penguimon? (????)
Calumon: "I don't know, but good idea!" No, it isn't.

Side Note
Evilmon's name wash changed to "Vilemon". Evilmon's attack name was a bit changed. Nightmare Shock -> Nightmare Shocker. You know, just now (I saw) the japanese Guilmon screams his attack, and it's name was changed. Fire Ball -> Pyro Sphere.

Stupid Dialogue:
Rika: "C'mon, Renamon. Why would I waste my time with this....... goggle-heads" Lee, Culumon, Terriermon and Guilmon don't use goggles. Random boy #1: "It were alien-ghosts!"
Random boy #2: "Alien-ghosts that travels through times!" You guys are the stupidest children ever.
