Sahgo's Notes: Well, an interesting episode to compensate for the previous one. If at least it had episode 31's animation... oh well.
The dub was okay despite the redundant dialogue (read below), but I was surprised to see so many cuts. I mean, episode 12 had scenes that were a lot more violent... but I guess digimon violence (even by human hands) is A-Ok.
 
Side Note:

Relena retained her name. Her voice is okay (she is voiced by Kari Wahlgren).

Just as a note, but this episode is crazy on making the footage longer. It's kinda stupid and creates a bunch of redundant dialogue (Example: Relena saying "Thanks Tommy. I'm fine, don't worry about me", while in the original she just said "Thanks, Big Brother").

Oh yeah, and Relena calls Thomas "Tommy" in the dub, which is okay as an adaptation of "onii-chan" (since both indicate affection).

Tohma's father's voice is okay too, altough he is not a relevant character (hah hah hah).


It's interesting to note that with the flashback of episode 31 we can compare this episode's animation with that one's, and see on how different they are.


Stupid Dialogue:

Marcus: "What does the Burst Mode do?"
Agumon: "Besides Burst?"

Mode! =D


Inconsistency:

They forgot to edit Yatagaramon's evolution sequence, and in the background the romaji still reads "Yatagaramon".

But Yoda still cries out "Crowmon".

 
Cut:

(3 seconds) Tohma punching Masaru's face.

Punch!

(3 seconds) Masaru's punched face (uh... very very pointless cut).

Youch!

(3 seconds) Tohma punching Masaru in the stomach.

Punch again!

(1 second) Masaru punching Tohma's face.

Your face will die!

 
Side Note:

When Marcus got really angry at Thomas, he made a very low-pitched voice. For a moment I thought they used another voice actor, but then I remembered that Quinton Flynn really knows how to change his voice (I still can't believe that he voices Raiden in Metal Gear Solid).
