| Journey to the Sacred City |

In the japanese episode, this episode marks the debut of the new intro
song "Hirari", by the almighty Wada Kouji! /o/ He's back, baby! Altough
Hirari is not my favorite Digimon intro (I still think that Butter-Fly,
Biggest Dreamer, FIRE!! and Target are better than Hirari), it's WAY
better than Gou-ing! Going! My Soul!!. Also, Digimon Savers is the first
Digimon series to have two completely different opening songs, which is
interesting to note. |
In the "scenes from the previous episode" in the dub they cutted a close-up of the Digisoul Dojo, so they didn't need to edit the sign again. But I don't get it: why didn't they simply recycle the already edited scenes from the previous episode? Isn't that the PURPOSE of this part of the episode? But... oh, who cares. |
BanchoLeomon (narrating the events of the previous episode): "When an unusual group came to my dojo in Wanderer's Cape, they were seeking clues for the whereabouts of Marcus' father. But what they found was ME, BanchoLeomon, and MUCH MUCH MORE!" This "MUCH MUCH MORE!" part sounded really stupid in the dub. And kinda malicious if you ask me o_O |
I know this is meaningless, but BanchoLeomon called Yoshino "Yoshino"! Damn, finally! I was getting damn tired of hearing "Yoshi" >_> ElDoradimon had his name changed to ElDradimon. And YES, this is a
change because ElDoradimon comes from El Dorado, and not from... Eldradi.
Whatever the hell that is. Baromon retained his name, and he received a very Borat-like accent in the dub >_> [Update; 31 May 2008] |

Marcus and Agumon: (Singing about Thomas being a party pooper) Shut. The. Hell. Up. |
They added some smoke to cover up the three hybrids naked bodies (nothing is really shown). The smoke effect is REALLY cheaply done, like it is on slow-motion or something >_>. |
(2 seconds) A shot of a naked Nanami =) |
More smoke. On Nanami. End of the smoke/foam/whatever. Now they were less cheap and simply painted over the red-liquid-of-the-Ultimate-level which was originally transparent. |
There is one scene where the liquid was left transparent in the dub. |
Cerberumon's name was changed to Cerberusmon (wow, an s. I have to kill someone). In the original, his description said he guards the gates of Hell, but in the dub it says he guards the gates of the Sacred City o_O So, Sacred City = Hell? I should've imagined! Cerberumon's attack change: Hell Fire -> Dark Fire (or ''Mad Dark Fire''. I'm not sure if the ''Mad'' is part of the attack name). |
Baromon: "His mad Dark Fire is hotter than a slice of pizza on the roof of your mouth!" You know, slices of pizza aren't necessarely hot. And I never felt a hot slice of pizza on the roof of my mouth ._. That was a very weird comparison. |
The dialogue in the dub is confuse, but it sounds like Baromon never intended to kill Masaru-tachi, but just "punish them" and then lock them somewhere to never be released. Stupid dialogue change ¬¬ It's blatantly obvious, even for the most stupid 5-years-old, that he is trying to kill them.
Kamemon's dub voice is pretty good. In the dub Baromon refers to Suguru Daimon as "Kyuuseishuu", which DATS' subtitles translate as "Messiah". In the dub he refers to him as "legend".
MirageGaogamon's Duble Crescent Mirage and Gale Claw
retained. Igamon's name changed to Ninjamon, as always. But he retained his attack. And they also received an accent. Some kind of chinese accent -_-

(1 second) They cutted Nanami's shot right before the smoke got a little too low. |
