After Kurata - The Digimon Annihilation Plan Begins!

The Beginning of the End!

Sahgo's Notes: A character introduction episode - nothing big happens but it is a quite cool episode. The dub is pretty good, altough Gaomon is sounding more and more "fake" as time passes (like, in the first episodes his voice came pretty naturally, but now it sounds quite forced, I don't know). Here we have a censorship that will probably follow us until the end of this series and... well, I guess that's it.
Oh, and today we've got FOUR Stupid Dialogue boxes! OMG!! It's a miracle!! Wait, no... this isn't a good thing. Yeah, it's bad, really really bad... *puts down the ''YAY'' sign*

Stupid Dialogue:

Keenan: "That Kurata! He has new fake digimon!"
Marcus: "What do you mean?"
Megumi: "He's right, Kurata made a new version of Gizumon!"
Miki: "Better, faster, stronger!"

Uh... what the hell are you guys talking about? The digimon that kicked your asses in the previous episode weren't Gizumon. They didn't even LOOK like Gizumon o_O

 
Censor:

Basically EKEE.


Side Note:

I know I'm a little late, but I think I should give my opinion about some of the recent voice actors.
Kurata is voiced by Brian Palermo and he has a pretty good voice. There isn't much to say besides that...
Kevin's (you know, Ikuto's father) voice is fine, but I must compliment Michelle Ruff's acting as Michelle (wait... yeah, that's right o_o), Ikuto's mother. Her voice is just GREAT and it's damn perfect for the character, and she delivers the dramatic tone perfectly. It's a shame it's not one of the most active character, but anyway...

About the new characters:
Ivan is voiced by Christopher Darga. His dub voice is not good in my opinion: originally he has this deep strong voice, which makes his moments of "I would never say that out loud" funnier. In the dub his voice is more youngish and he sounds more like "the comedy character". It doesn't work. It simply doesn't work.
Nanami is voiced by Philece Sampler. It's okay.
Kouki is voiced by the ''great'' Dave Wittenberg, and his voice is pretty good.

 
Not-a-Censor:

They didn't erase the kana on Ikuto's father's computer keyboard =D Yay

 
Censor:

What? o_o Well, they simply digitally erased this piercing (piercing?) in Kouki's mouth. I think they did this for the SAKE of the CHILDREN, so they don't put piercing in their mouths, but... what is the sense? First, Kouki is going to be pretty active from now on, so this censorship is going to be damn annoying; Second, what kind of children would desperately want to put piercing just because they saw it on a cartoon? Bah... you know, who cares

I guess the digital paint people were just REALLY bored. I mean, they do receive a salary, don't they?


Side Note:

Term change:

Hyper Bio Evolution -> Bio Hyper D.N.A. Charge.
And they added this "Bio-Hyper Digivolve to..." sentence which wasn't in the original.


BioThunderBirdmon and BioStegomon retained their names, but the other one changed:
BioCoatlmon -> BioQuetzalmon.

[Updated 03 May 2008] Macho Duck: It's "Bio Hybrid DNA Charge" and "Bio Hybrid Digivolve". Sahgo's recordings don't always have the best audio. XD Thanks again, Josephine!


Stupid Dialogue:

Marcus: "We're not afraid!"
Agumon: "Speak for yourself..."
Marcus: "Who'se side are you on?"

What does being afraid has to do with sides?

 
Cut:

(1 second) BioStegomon beating the crap out of Lilamon.

[Seriously, when the hell is she ever going to be any useful?]

(2 seconds) Now, time for a guessing game! What has 1 ~ 2 seconds, happens every episode and have something to do with laser sounds? YES! IT'S THE OMG-RIZEGREYMON-IS-GOING-TO-KILL-THE-AUDIENCE CUT!!!!


Side Note:

The Hyper-Bio-Hybrid-Whatever-the-Hell-Digimon's attacks were retained, except for this one:

Freeze Wave -> Freezing Wave (OMG! WHAT A GREAT CHANGE! I'M GOING TO DIE...!)


Stupid Dialogue:

BioThunderBirdmon: "You bastards... do you want to die that badly?"
Satsuma: "We fight only to live!"
BioThunderBirdmon: "Kurata didn't mention you... who are you!?"
Sampson: "All you need to know is what I look like walking away."

I'm not sure why, but Sampson's line is so, so stupid...


Side Note:

Name change:
Qilinmon -> Chirinmon.

His attack name was... KINDA... changed....
Shippuu Tenshouken -> Wind Cutter Sword
(Shippuu Tenshouken means "The Blade that Soars through Hurricanes", so it was more a translation than a change...)

His other attack was retained.


Stupid Dialogue:

Sampson (describing Chirinmon): "One of his special attacks is the Wind Cutter Sword, which whips through his opponents like a hurricane! You want to stay far away from THIS disaster!"

OMG... I could expect this crap out of Agumon's mouth, but not YOURS! o_O I'm feeling DEEPLY insulted!
