The Clash with Merukimon
| For some reason, Agumon's headbutt (covered with the slash-impact-screen-from-hell in the last episode) was retained in the "previously, on Digimon" part. |
| This was a dialogue change which actually made me laugh: Agumon: "Maybe he's actually a digimon!" Gaomon: "Don't be stupid. That's impossible." Agumon: "Maybe he's a digimon like Keenan!" Gaomon: "Do me a favor: just be quiet." Heh heh. |
| Kuramon's name is translated in Tohma's portable computer (by the way, since when does he have that thing?). |
| This episode's-only title of "Digimon warrior" (Dejimon senshi, referring to Ikuto) was changed to Digi-Warrior in the first time it was mentioned, but after that it was called Digimon warrior again. |
| In the original, Masaru screams "Don't get in the way, Ikuto!", and that's when Yushima (you know, the digivice old man) recognizes him as being Ikuto Noguchi. In the dub, Marcus screams "Out of my way, kid!", and Yushima suddenly recognizes Keenan for no reason. Stupid translators. You should be able to notice the critical points of the lines. Tsk tsk. |
| Gotsumon's Angry Rock was changed to Rock Fist (I KNOW that it was already used before, sorry for my stupidness). This episode had another good amount of changing the "k-word" and the "d-word" into family-friendly things such as "gone" and "destroy". But the "d-word" is mentioned once in one of Marcus' lines: Marcus: "Digimon can't DIE, they just get redigitized into new eggs!" Sorry if I get all happy about that. It's just the way I am! |
| Some scenes of digimon being
killed by humans with weapons were replaced with scenes of the Digital
World being burned, taken from another episode. Because, yeah, burning forests is a lot more harmless than killing digital creatures. |
| MachGaogamon's Winning Knuckle retained. |
(2 second or so) Every frame showing RizeGreymon's Trident
Revolver "aimed at the screen". This cut actually lead the dub's
Trident Revolver to shoot just once, while in the original he shoots
three times. Altough in the dub we hear the awful laser-SFX three times
anyway. GET DOWN CHILDREN, HE'LL SHOOT! |
| Mercurimon's Thousand Fist retained. Kamemon's name was retained, but the pronounciation... x_x. In the dub they say it "Kay-may-mon", but the correct way would be "Kah-may-mon". Kame is japanese for "turtle". Another dialogue change I liked: Masaru: "Old man!" Yoshino: "Kamemon?" Marcus: "The tea guy!" Yoshino: "He fights?" Yoshino's "he fights?" sounded way funny in the dub. Heh. Gawappamon's name was retained in dialogue, but for some reason was written as "Gwappamon" in the digimon-analyzer-window-thingie. His attack, DJ Shooter, was retained too. And, for some reason, when ''Sampson'' appears in the end of the episode, the dub used a really unnapropriated BGM, like something bad was about to happen. Behold, Sampson is the true enemy! O_o |
