The Gorge of Deception!
| The ''scenes from the previous episode''
segment was removed in the dub here. What would be normal if the
previous (dub) episodes didn't have them (but they do). MetalPhantomon's voice is good. |
| In every Masaru-is-punching-Numemon scene (from his nightmare) the dub added an impact screen (which looks like a slash for me, which doesn't make sense for replacing a punch, but.... oh, whatever). I would take screenshots, but I'm lazy. You just lost some frames of Masaru's fist actually hitting Numemon's... sludgy body. |
| In Yoshino's nightmare, there was originally a piano music in the background. In the dub there are just the dub BGMs. But... isn't the piano like, you know, a very important part of Yoshino's past? |
| In Tohma's nightmare, EKEE!! (Evil Kanji Erased Everywhere). |
| Thomas: "Her favorite market... mom would buy me ice cream if I didn't complain about having to go there with her." When I went to the market with my mom she would just buy me some gum. |
(6 seconds) Tohma's quick flashback of him crying next to his
mother's bed, while the heart monitor shows that she's dead. In the
dub, they just show Thomas' (the present Thomas) eye and them we see
him crying, with the ''beeeeeeeeeeeep'' sound in the background. The
dub scene is not uncomprehensible, but I don't see this cut as
necessary neither this scene as disposable. ;_; |
| The kanji in the summer festival ad is gone. The dub is quite weird. I know that Thomas can understand that that was the summer festival ad, but how about everyone else? Did they have to guess? |
| Oh! Some evil kanji was left intact in a home sign. Like most of the children's anime american adaptations, I noticed that while the japanese version used the word "die" (and variants) a bunch of times, the dub just used its tone-downs, such as "done for", "gone", "won't make it", "she'll never come home again", etc. This kinda reminds me of 4Kids' One Piece. (But I remember the d-word being used here and there in Tamers' dub). MachGaogamon retained his name and attacks. MetalPhantomon's Soul Predator retained too. |
| (1 second) It's a really brief moment, but in the dub we don't
see the building smashing MetalPhantomon completely. We just see the
shiny part of the scene itself. Oh crap! |
