| In the beginning of the episode, kana saying "One Month Ago" was translated. |
| Akaboshi (Hayase's opponent at the beginning of the episode)
seems to had his name changed to... something. I couldn't hear well
(and I REALLY don't care). About Hayase = His original name (in western order) is Tsubasa Hayase. Tsubasa is his first name, and Hayase is his surname. In the dub, they changed to Hayase Harris: Hayase is his first name, and Harris, his surname. |
| An
impact screen was used to cover some frames of Hayase punching Akaboshi
in the fight. In the first time, nothing was really lost, but in the
second time, some frames of Hayase hitting Akeboshi on the face. Shoryuuken! |
| (2 seconds) In both versions, Agumon tells Tohma/Thomas
about how rare it is for Masaru/Marcus to find a case, but in the
japanese version, Masaru punches him for saying that. Take that, stupid lizard! |
| In Thomas' water bottle, a lightning and some romaji (which seems to be spelling "POCA") are digitally gone. This is the lightning of EVIL! |
| Tohma asks Hayase about his fight against a fighter named Uehara Kouichi, but Thomas asks Hayase about his fight against a fighter named... Kenzinton or something like this. |
| (3
seconds) When little Tohma is watching Hayase's fight (of the beginning
of the episode), he sees a replay of the final blow, but in the dub
this is cutted (even though it was shown at the beginning of the
episode...). Shoryuu-Reppa! |
| Ok, evil kana-erasing = no news. But the romaji letters
under the kana saying "TAIKEN BOXING GYM" were half retained. They
erased "TAIKEN", but retained the "BOXING GYM". Such a great sign for such a small sentence. Removed sign... Still no news. |
| Hayase's couch name was changed from Shiraki to Rocky. And... 'Rocky' is... wrong... Hayase's daughter name was changed from Manami to Minnie. As always, Togemon's attack changes: Prickly Bang Bang -> Needle Spray. |
| In the original, Masaru says to Yoshino that the fight (Gaomon and Tohma x Togemon) was a man-to-man fight and it shouldn't be interfered. However, in the dub Marcus says something about Hayase being Thomas' hero and he has to fight to... honor him or something. Anyway, I don't remember seeing Tohma telling anyone besides Gaomon about how much he admired Hayase. The dub line is JUST wrong. |
| (3
seconds) Gaomon punching Togemon in the face. Well, thanks goodness he's wearing gloves... (1 second) Another punch. SHINRYUUKE-(someone throws a shoe) Ouch! Ok, I'll stop the Street Fighter references. |
| The final conversation between Tohma and Hayase was
completely changed. In the original, Tohma was suggesting Hayase to
forfeit the match, but he wants to fight and show his daughter how to
fight honestly (even knowing his memories about the incident will be
erased by the MiB thingie), even if that means that this will be his
final fight. In the dub, however, it's the complete opposite: Thomas is
saying that Hayase is still in conditions to fight, but he says he
shouldn't because he has more important things to worry about, like his
family. The final scene was retained, but it was quite weird. In the original, we see Hayase going to the ring, but in the dub we can just think that he's going outside. I'm not sure why he needs his boxing ''cloth'' to go outside, though. |
