Princess Karaoke
Nemureru Boukun! Tonosamagekomon

I love "I Wish." It goes very well with the ending sequence and it's pretty. n.n

Stupid Dialogue:
Agumon and Gomamon are talking to each other, not to Jou and Taichi in the boat. Then, Taichi says something.

Joe: "How do they get their mail?"

Through an elaborate system of diligent carriers known as the "Post Office." Quite incredible, it is. Legend has it you can buy "stamps" there, too.

Tai: "Or some kind of looney bin!"
Joe: "Maybe it's both!"

The clothes and food their princess wanted was also changed, not surprisingly.

Side Note:
While Otamamon's voice isn't half bad, Gekomon's voice is atrocious.

Side Note:
When Mimi gets mad at them, it's not because they called her "Mimi." I can understand why it was changed, though. In the original, Jou refers to her as Mimi-kun. '-Kun' is a suffix attached to the name of someone of the same or lower social status. Since Mimi is supposedly a princess now, she doesn't like the '-kun' suffix.

Stupid Dialogue:
Mimi: "Oh, bummer."

Indeed.

Tai: "Get down off of that high horse and put your rear into high gear!"

Okay...

Mimi: "... to be removed from my bootwa [boudoir] at once!"

To be removed from your what? What in the name of Jinnai is a Bootwa? Yes, I know I probably butchered the spelling, but I've honestly never heard any such word in my life...

[20 July 2007: THE DAY IS SAVED! Kuwa-chan has reported that the word is "boudoir", a French word for a lady's private sitting area. You can read a less vague definition on Wikipedia! Thanks, Kuwa-chan! That's been bugging me for a long time.]

Tai: "I won't disect frogs in Biology, okay?"

What are you, eight? Nine? You most likely aren't taking Biology yet.

Gekomon: "Here's our master, Lord Shogunmon!"

His name is supposed to be Shogungekomon in the dub.

Tai: "Whoa! Somebody's had a few too many donuts!"

Side Note:
The song Mimi has to sing, "I Wish," also the ending theme, is obviously changed. At least it wasn't changed to the dub opening theme, though.

Stupid Dialogue:
Tai: "Whatcha laughin' at?"

They aren't. People don't laugh when their faces are contorted in complete and utter horror.

Side Note:
The singing part was a lot funnier in the original. It was handled about the same way, but since there was a definitive song going on (I Wish), hearing everyone singing contorted lyrics for it was hilarious. Still, fairly accurate. [corrected 21 June 2007, submitted by Josephine]

Stupid Dialogue:
Joe: "(singing) I'm attempting to sing a song! A song that'll awaken you and aid the Gekomon who are loyal to your world view and the idea of you being in charge!"

Now that was just about the only funny part in the dub when they're singing.

[irrelevant side-note-ness: Taichi actually has a very nice singing voice, just not when singing "I Wish."]

Tai: "That's Princess MEANIE!"

*snerk*

Agumon: "It isn't nice to lock your friends up in your dungeon."

Palmon: "You're a spoiled brat!"

Originally, Palmon said that she hates Mimi.

You don't hear Sora thinking in the original... because she doesn't ever think...

Tai: "Is she gonna chop off our heads?"

We can only hope.

Side Note:
Tonosamagekomon's name is changed to Shogungekomon.

Inconsistency:
Tonosamagekomon is called Shogunmon and Shogungekomon interchangeably.

Stupid Dialogue:
The crap about the old Mimi being back is stupid. In the original, Palmon takes back what she said about hating Mimi and tells her that she does like her.

Joe: "He gives new meaning to the term flat note!"

Right...

Mimi: "Do you think I could take some of my princess clothes with me?"

Sure.

And, finally, except for the narration and Pico Devimon's screams, there's no dialogue when he's hanging over the fire.
