Sahgo's notes: HORRIBLE! One of my favorite episodes was completely RUINED in the dub! First of all: they must have thought that, since this is a very information episode, it would be complicated to children. So, they just had to add A WHOLE BUNCH of stupid dialogue in character's mouths. And with the excessive stupid talking they RUINED one of my favorite scenes on the series!!! Hate, hate, HATE!!


Side Note:
The beggining. The dialogue is weird: they say somewhat the same thing in both versions, but in the japanese version, almost all of the Chosen Children get part in the conversation, while in the dub, there's just Tai's first question and Izzy's endless talk. After that, in the dub, Tai suggests the destruction of the Dark Network. Sora and Matt say no, because that can be a trap. In the original version, Mimi says them to run, but Yamato and Sora says that is useless to run if Etemon can always find them (something like this). I didn't put this as a Stupid Dialogue because the dub suggestion also made a lot of sense.

Stupid Dialogue:
Tai: "Open it, it's probably just spam" That's a reason for NOT opening it!

Censor:
Wow, the scene where the Children receive Nanomon's mail is really changed. Ok, in the dub, they open the e-mail. There's a chat window, like IRC, and we hear Nanomon saying "Help Me! Mayday!", and similar stuff.
In the japanese version, they open the e-mail. There's a big "tasukete" (Help) on the screen, with other kana down it. NO NANOMON'S VOICE. They just read the e-mail. I don't even know why to change it so bad. Why just not replace the 'Tasukete' kana with 'Help me'? Anyway, it's no big change, is it? IRC chat?

Stupid Dialogue:
Joe: "Ooh! I don't like this! I don't like one little bit: I don't like the look of it, I don't like the SMELL of it, I don't like the-
Mimi: "Do you never take a brake, Joe? You're turning green around the edge!" Joe, I DON'T LIKE YOUR LINES!
Mimi, you're the LAST PERSON who should be saying this to him! Izzy: "Prodigious! This is amazing!" You know, that's the first time I'm watching Digimon american dub (seriously), and, man.... this line is really as horrible as this site makes it seems o_o Izzy: "Do you know what I'm thinking, right?"
Mimi: "I got a feeling you're going to tell us" Wow Mimi, congratulations: you discovered the marvelous power of the BRAIN! Matt: "Did we squeeze into the floppy drive?" Man, your line was ok until these terrible 7 words. Tai: "If I'm just Data, why do I fell like I'm still flesh and blood?"
Mimi: "And I still have to go to the little girl's room?"
Izzy: "You don't really, you just think you have to"
Mimi: "Oh, I hope you're right, 'cause..." Mimi, logic has a brother, and his name is SHUT THE HELL UP!!!
 T.K.: "That means I don't need to worry about brushing my teeth anymore?"
Izzy: "We've got bigger things to worry about now, T.K."
Matt: "Altough one of those is not stop brushing!"
Izzy: "Yeah, please!" If brushing your teeth will make you stop talking this stupid stuff, than, YES, you DO have to worry about brushing your teeth. But, wait a minute: has ANY of the Chosen Children brushed their teeth since they got the Digital World? OMG!!! What a bad example for children!! Mimi: "Uh-oh, he's on his computer-dork mode, this can take a while!" Mimi, you're always in your "stupid klutz" mode, but we don't go appointing that the whole time! Matt: "That's terrific, Izzy. Great time for a geography lesson."
Izzy: "Pay attention and you might learn something." Please, shut up!

Censor:
Well, more of the weird changes we know and love. Izzy/Koushiro see the email address. Ok.

USA: www.as#4dfja9z$.com But... wait a minute! The american address is NOT an email! O_O What kind of stupid thing is that? Have you received an email from a site? I mean, a website address?

Stupid Dialogue:
Izzy: "The DigiWorld is on the left..." It's Digital World! Mimi: "Reminds me of the ball ***************** used to play with!" The line itself is WORTHLESS, but the worst is the WAY the Voice Actress said it! I thought my hears were going to explode x_x
 T.K.: "Hey! All this techno-talk is making my head spin!"
Matt: "Computer guys can never just DO something, T.K. That'd be too easy. They just spend all day telling you HOW they do it"
 Ha ha ha! You haven't heard the japanese version XD Joe: "This is depressing. Even when I'm computer data I have alergies!" No, you don't have alergies. Tai: "C'mon, Brain-iac!" Oh, the humanity! Izzy: "All we have to do is click on the guy that send the email, and Bingo!"
Mimi: "I hate bingo! It's totally filled with different letters and numbers!" For the love of God, just STOP the Stupid Dialogue! We're not even in the half of the episode!
 Tai: "Hands up! Etemon on nine o'clock!" Yeeaaah.... sure... Tai: "Man, you guys talk more than my Mom's Book Club!" And do you hear their conversation? Mimi: "If you really think you don't need me..."
Palmon: "I miss you guys already." DON'T NEED YOU? DON'T NEED YOU? OF COURSE THEY DON'T NEED YOU MIMI, YOUR STUPID KLUTZ TALK IS SOMETHING THAT NOBODY NEEDS!!! SO, RELEASE US AND LET IT DIE ALREADY! Gomamon: "We'll be back in time to eat!"
Tai: "Or be eaten!" Mimi being eaten? 99% of Etemon's lines ARE Stupid Dialogue. Izzy: "Let's use our head, not our hands" The writers of this episode used EVERYTHING but their head.

Side Note:
Nanomon's name is changed to Datamon. Why? Have no idea. Like Andromon, Nanomon talks as what he is: a robot. He doesn't use the old slangs and stupid expressions that are used in the dub.

Cut:
(2 seconds) After Etemon punches Greymon, there's also this scene of Greymon hitting the wall. And, a few seconds later, the same scene, but shows Greymon slowly going to the ground. Ouch!

Cut:
(2 seconds) They finished this shot before it ends. It also showed Ikkakkumon smashing Kabuterimon against the wall, and Birdramon appearing behind Etemon. OMG, there's a giant bird behind me!

Cut:
(1 second) Nanomon throws all that glass on the other Digimon, but Etemon brakes it with his punch. That was cut. Kids, don't try this at home!

Cut:
(2 seconds) Greymon is thrown against the wall... again. "Why am I ALWAYS throwned against the wall!?"

Stupid Dialogue:
Joe: "Pain still hurts!" ........yeeeaaahh.....

Side Note:
Well, Koushiro's reference to death was lightened, for obvious reasons. In the dub, he says "We have to be careful. Nobody knows what can happen", or something similar.
In the original version, Koushiro says "If we die here, our real bodys will die too" And, my VERY favorite scene was COMPLETELY destroyed. Seriously, the writer of this episode SHOULD be punished. In the original, Koushiro says the location of the 'weak part' of the firewall to Taichi. Silence. Then, he goes in front of it, and thinks "What do I do... I have to save Sora...". I love that scene, because that's when Taichi face his weakness, his fear. On the dub, it was RUINED: there were my HATED "lines added in silencious parts". Tai talked a bunch of stuff when his mouth wasn't visible, and so did Izzy and Joe. Man..... MAN....!!!
