Setting Off - To A New Continent!

Departure for a New Continent

Sahgo's notes: Well, this is a very talkative episode, so, we do have a lot of Stupid Dialogue. But the american episode was bad for other reasons. For example: Whamon's dub voice is pretty good, but the original Whamon is pretty polite, and some of Whamon's dub lines don't fit on him. Except for that, music in this episode is terrible, but that is a rule in this anime dub...

Side Note:
Gennai seems to have retained his name, but not the pronunciation. Originally, Gennai has this "Gueh-nai" spelling, but, in the american version, is more like "Jen-nai". No big deal.

Stupid Dialogue:
T.K.: "EGG-xactly!" Ouch.... Mimi: "I can't even swim across a bathtub let alone an ocean. I'll never make it!" Man, why does the dub Mimi has to be so klutz? Mimi: "We don't even know how the fashion is on Server!" I really wonder if there will be ANY line of Mimi that isn't Stupid Dialogue. Tai: "You're the Mon!" Yes, you're the Mo(ro)n! (I always wanted to say that!) Tentomon: "Our chances of success are extremely high!" Yeah, whatever.

Side Note:
When the children are making their preparations, originally a song (whose name I don't remember) played on the background. A really cool song. But the american audience just hear the random Background Music, as always. [A note from the Duck: The song that plays is "Seven", sung by Wada Kouji.] And just to say: man, what horrible BGM they chose to Leomon's scene! I mean, it was supposed to make the audience think Leomon was a villain and was going to attack them or something? Argh!

Stupid Dialogue:
Joe: "I'm starting to get sick already" (os something similar) I'm starting to get sick of the sicks Saban gave Jou. It's sick! Tai says something about Joe in his narration. Something he did 'very fast'. I'm pretty sure it was stupid. Joe: "The salt air is killing my ------ism" (The audio of my episode is too high-pitched) .....Well, they said "kill"! Sora: "I hope we don't give him a sore throat!" Yeaaaaahhhh....... sssuuurrreeee..... Joe (about the esophagus): "Use it for fast-food!" And for a bunch of other kinds of food too! To say the truth, there was probably a bunch of stupid dialogue in the 'esophagus' scene, but, as I said, it's hard to hear it here. Mimi: "This is going to ruin my hair all the way to the roots!"
Palmon: "Use my roots"
Mimi: "You're a plant!"
Okay, sure. "Hair". In the original, the conversation was how were they going to escape from Whamon's belly. Them, they say they have to go through ''that'' place, and Mimi screams saing she doesn't want to. Tai: "What's that gross groey junk?" (or something similar) It's your brain, you let it fall in the 'travel'. Whamon: "You can all ride inside me and I'll take you there. But NO TICKLING!" Ok. The original Whamon is VERY formal, and would never say something this dumb. In the dub, Whamon says something about having to rest because have drown a couple of... something. In the original, Whamon says that is far as he can go, since he can't get out the sea (duh). T.K.: "What's in the box!?" The line itself isn't that bad. It's the way it was delivered.
