Decent episode. Most of the cute parts were changed to be uncute, though.
Stupid Dialogue:
T.K.: "This is totally no fair!"


T.K.: "Where is everybody? Just when I think this place is THE BOMB, it all goes creepy on me again. Sure would be awful without Patamon..."

Side Note:
The scene where Devimon holds Ogremon in the air by the throat was handled perfectly. Even the "thank you" when Ogremon was dropped was kept.

Stupid Dialogue:
T.K.: "(something about the waterfall knocking his underwear off)"
Patamon: "I think my wings shrunk!"
T.K.: "This fits."

Takeru and Patamon didn't actually fall in the water.

T.K.: "Look at all that water! Looks like someone let the bath tub overflow! I just hope it didn't wash out our way of finding the others..."

Other Change:
During Patamon's scene with Piyomon evolving, in the original, PATAMON was talking in it. Yep, Patamon was saying "Piyomon shinka! Baadoramon!" It was adorable!

Stupid Dialogue:
T.K.: "Didn't they tell you at Digimon school or something?"


T.K.: "Hey! I hear a train coming. I betcha we can jump on and ride the caboose all the way back to summer camp!"


T.K.: "If it did it's the most silentest invisiblest train ever!"

It wasn't silent; you could hear the train just fine.

As they walk into the village, they aren't supposed to be talking.

Other Change:
In the original, when Takeru and Patamon go rolling, when they stop there's a bowling strike sound effect.

Stupid Dialogue:
T.K.: "The streets feel like marshmallows!"
Both: "REAL SQUISHY!"
Patamon: "Hey, you think in autumn those toys fall off the trees?"

If they're making streets out of marshmallows, what do you think they use for food?

Patamon: "It's written in Digi-code!"

It's written in Hiragana.

T.K.: "Puny is right! He's micro tiny!"

Side Note:
Digitama is faithfully translated as DigiEgg.

In case you're wondering, the card says 「わたしをなでなでして」; "Watashi wo nadenade shite", which means "Rub me."

Stupid Dialogue:
T.K.: "Maybe a Digital genie will pop out. I'm gonna wish for a new skateboard!"

Other Change:
There's no narration during Takeru's flashback in the original. Yamato's voice isn't heard in the flashback, either. Yamato's harmonica was a lot more prominent in the original to give us a clear cut sign of who it was.

Stupid Dialogue:
T.K.: "Not that there's anything wrong with hatching from an egg..."

*jumps and looks around* The scene changed, we're not supposed to hear his voice anymore!

Elecmon: "That's fishing! No worms, no hooks, no waiting!"

Indeed.

Other Change:
Elecmon - Sparkling Thunder = Super Thunder Strike

Stupid Dialogue:
Patamon: "Now now, don't get all PUFFY!"
Elecmon: "Err... Don't call me PUFFY!"

T.K.: "They're fighting worse than Matt and me, and they're not even brothers!"

Takeru and Yamato don't fight.

In the original, Takeru's doing a short version of a traditional Sumo match.

T.K.: "At least kids make up pretty fast. My parents are still mad at me... for the time I painted our kitty cat."

No, he never painted the poor cat. They don't even have a cat.

Elecmon's rambling about mountain climbing gear is stupid. In the original, he mentions Devimon right off the bat.

T.K.: "I have to ask him about my brother!"

No, it doesn't make sense. Takeru wanted to go there because he knew everyone else was headed there.

The crap about friendship at the end is stupid.
