I like this episode, except for the fact that it creates Jou + Sora propaganda. Yuck.

Some of the Stupid Dialogue this episode was kinda funny. Not bad in terms of the dub.
Stupid Dialogue:
Devimon says a lot of dumb stuff in the dub when his back is turned and he isn't supposed to be talking.

Joe also says a lot of unecessary stuff while the box floats over to the bed. While attacking, Ogremon keep saying "Pummel Whack." In the original, he's just trying to hit them and it's not an official attack.

Other Change:
Ogremon - Haou Ken = Pummel Whack.

Also, when Ogremon's doing that really forced laughing in the dub, he's actually saying that he'll defeat the Chosen Children -- kinda like Leomon does, only Ogremon says "Ore ga toasu!" instead of just "Taosu!"

Stupid Dialogue:
Ogremon: "I'm not scared of no stinking fish! ... On second thought, that kinda hurt!"

Come to think of it, Gomamon's attack is basically smacking people with fish...

Gomamon: "When the small and meek join forces to fight for a good cause, they can overcome the big and powerful."

Listed as stupid because it wasn't there in the original and it was rather unnecessary.

Ogremon: "Go ahead and run! See how far you can get! Come back and fight!"

So which one is it? Run, or fight?

Biyomon: "Sora's fishing! Sora's fishing!"

Thanks for pointing that out. We would have never realized it had you not brought it to our attention.

Other Change:
Gomamon's flashback is supposed to go without narration.

Also, Sora calling Jou "senpai" in the original makes the whole leader thing sound more plausible.

Stupid Dialogue:
Sora: "Well don't get too carried away!"


Jou: "(stupid army march crap)"


Sora: "Must he keep up that army march drivel?"


Sora's "deja vu" crap is stupid.


Gomamon: "Hey, do ya think maybe a black gear got him?"

Other Change:
In the original, the characters hear music from the celebration.

Stupid Dialogue:
Joe: "Okay, step lively now troops, let's have no stragglers! Okay, there's the chruch."


Jou: "... badly I might add!" (referring to the dancing)

What's wrong with their dancing?

Cut:
(1 second) In the original, just before the commercial break, there's a shot of the priest coming up behind them.

Other Change:
Originally, when you see the priest's face next to Sora's, we get a hilarious music score which like the one from 'Psycho'. It, of course, is left out in the dub.

Stupid Dialogue:
priest: "Hallo-what?"

Originally, Sora wanted to know what they were celebrating and the priest said something about Bakemonsama.

The priest says nothing as they walk down the aisle until Gomamon (not Jou) says something and he stops to respond.

Gomamon: "Now now!"
Biyomon: "Back off!"

Go into a church on a raid mission, insult the priest's religion, and imply that he's out of line. Sounds like a plan to me.

Sora and Jou: "(stuff about Trick-or-Treating)"
priest: "... cuz it's a trick... and you're the treat!"

Can there be no ghost Digimon without a reference to Trick-Or-Treating?

Joe: "Oh, I'm allergic - ow! - Allergic to pain!"


The Bakemon aren't supposed to say anything while Jou and Sora are laying down on the table. If you don't see their mouths move, they probably aren't speaking.

Bakemon: "We're scary ghosts! We like to boo! Now it's time to chew on you!"

XD I love this line, it's so spontaneous and funny.

Cut:
(5 seconds) A shot of Sora talking and Jou realizing that Bakemon is a ghost, so a Buddhist chant would exorcise it.

Other Change:
Jou was originally doing a Buddhist chant, not some Roman physicist guy's funky "Bakemon, lose you power" thing.

There's a scene of Jou talking moved to where there should be a scene of Bakemon getting hit by the Harpoon Vulcan.
