Congratulations, you get to witness to first episode cuts of Digimon history! *applause* Not that that's a good thing. Oh, and just to give you guys some idea of what it looks like, here's a shot of today's title screen. It's usually the title and a pic of either the monster or Chosen Digimon of the day in the background. 「パルモン怒りの進化！」 Parumon Ikari No Shinka! See! I told you a cut would rear its ugly head! (4 seconds) A baby doll floats in the sewer water, making a few squeaky noises. I'm guessing this was cut for time.

Agumon: "Ok, let's have some solo performances! Starting with Mimi!" (everyone does the "Mimi" thing) Mimi: (singing poorly) "Oh give me a home where the buffalo rome!" Joe: "Avoiding your drone." (stuff about singing classes) Um... What Agumon's doing here is singing an extra verse in the song very badly (the song wasn't about Digimon), at which everyone went "Ii??" until Mimi sang the verse too (and as we all witness later in the series, Mimi has a nice singing voice). [20 July 2007: Seems that the kids are playing a variant of a game called shiritori where you take the last syllable of a word (in Japanese, of course), and think of another word that starts with that syllable. They're playing a song with it, though, and Agumon ends his line with the syllable "i", prompting the rest of the characters to cry out "I?!?" in startlement before Mimi picks up with the song. This edit was submitted by Kuwa-chan!] Izzy: "You should get a refund, that's what I think!" He was singing here. Sora: "Stop!" She screamed because a drop of water fell on her. Then she remembered hanging clothes to dry, which went without narration. Agumon didn't say anything to her, and everyone else's memories played. Agumon: "They really do come from another world." This scene was silent. No background music, no talking. Silent. It makes a bigger impact on the audience because it represents how much they miss their homes. The Numemon are tossing shit at the Chosen Children, not "Nume-sludge". "Numemons." Again, "Digimon" is both the singular and the plural! Same goes for Numemon and all Digimon names. |

When the kids are running away from the flying crap, there's this particular music piece in the background in the original. The music makes the scene so much funnier it's ridiculous. Also, the narrator in the Digimon Analyzer screen pauses in disgust when he says what their attack is. XD |

| Up until they reach the vending machines, there is no dialogue. Unless you see their mouths moving, they're most likely not speaking. |

Numemon's voice is crappy. He's given a stereotypical "bozo" voice and doesn't sound anything like the original. On a lighter note, Numemon's crush on Mimi is kept. Not important, but the Numemon that likes Mimi calls her "Anechan (older sister)" in the original. Monzaemon's name is pronounced "Monz-eh-mon" and "Monz-ee-mon" interchangeably. |

| Numemon calling Mimi a heartbreaker and jolter (???) wasn't in the original, and Palmon says "Poison Ivy" at the wrong time, so she just kinda stands there in the dub for a while without doing anything. |

Palmon: "Agu, tell us. Who changed Monzaemon?" Don't shorten the Digimon names! Gabumon: "It's up to you two, you must be the heroes this time." Nothing terribly wrong with the line itself, but the delivery sucked! It doesn't help with his old man voice! Palmon: "Time to take it to the next level. I may be a lady, but I'm not a push-over!" Okay. Palmon doesn't say anything as she evolves, except, of course "Parumon shinka, Togemon!" Togemon and Monzaemon don't talk while they're walking towards each other. |
